But the blowback, the violence has really shaken this area.
When you talk to locals, there's a real sense of sadness.
It's got a bad reputation here now, and they're worried the tourists will not come back anytime soon.
The numbers of protesters have gone down.
The temperatures have gone up.
But they were definitely throwing objects at federal agents.
They were throwing pieces of ice at federal agents.
Also bottles and sometimes sex toys as well.

And 42 arrests overall.
It turned violent suddenly.
And what's really taking a beating here across Minneapolis is the economy.
A lot of small businesses, restaurants that have to open and unlock and then lock their door every time someone goes in and out, having a tough time with staff.
Many store owners say that these protests have hit them worse than COVID.
