That would save all the people wondering what's the future like for Austin Matthews.

You guys got a gift.

Make the most of it.

I would be surprised if he did that.

I know there's reasons to do so, but I think his second half in Penn State really showed what he's capable of.

And I'm not sure if spending another year... No disrespect to the players he plays with at Penn State, but I think he needs to be where...

everyone's hockey iq is at a much higher level he needs to go somewhere where he can go and play that first year in the nhl and he can go play with an austin matthews or a john taveras and learn from those guys two veterans both have been first overall picks they both know how to handle the pressure and i feel like that would be much more beneficial you look at a guy like conor bedard or jack hughes two guys that had all that hype went to the nhl you know

Solid starts, more solid for Bedard than Hughes, but nothing too spectacular.

But then look at the guys they were playing with.

Like Bedard was playing a lot of his first year with, you know, it was supposed to be Corey Perry, didn't last long.

There was Nick Foligno, you know, Tyler Bertuzzi the last couple of years.

That's cool and all, but...

That's not John Tavares.

That's not Austin Matthews.

You're not playing with one of the best goal scorers of the generation.

So I think that would be very beneficial.
