When the Edmonton Oilers fired Peter Chiarelli, I put a tweet out with my top five candidates.

Kelly McCrimmon was the assistant GM to George McPhee at that time, and I had Kelly number one.

I mean, I told guys when they bought WHL teams, when that call comes in from Kelly McCrimmon, you hang up the phone because you've already lost the trade.

He's going to kick your ass, okay?

So, like, I think Vegas is a pretty well-run.

I'm going to say this right now.

The Vegas Golden Knights beat the Edmonton Oilers in the margins in 2023 when they won that series.

I said it last year to you guys when I was on with Gary.

I was actually surprised Edmonton won the series in five games last year.

And the Oilers really got going around two and three.

I mean, they beat Vegas in five and Dallas in five.

But, you know, the Hyman injury was massive.

And then Nugent busted his head in game two against Florida.

And Florida was so deep that it appeared as though Edmonton was further away from winning than the year before.

And they probably were.

And they were different teams.

And that's another factor here.
