But I think the biggest danger for the Hawks will be if it does spill over, you know, plus 10, plus 12, and they start to score from stoppage.
And, of course, I mentioned Bontempele.
The Hawks have got to have a plan for him because he's just so good around contest and clearance.
And, obviously, when he gets the ball in the front half too, he can make you pay.
So they're probably the two areas β
that I'd be most concerned about if I'm Sam Mitchell preparing for this game.
And what's worrying Luke Beveridge?
What's been worrying him for the least for the last five years, and that's defensive transition.
It still remains the biggest issue, I think, for the Bulldogs.
As I mentioned, when Hawthorne defeated the Bulldogs in Gather Round, they just came through them too easy.
It was the overlap run.
It was the corridor ball movement.
And I just think because they're so good at contest and clearance, the Bulldogs can sometimes overcommit numbers consistently.
to the expense of their defensive system.
So once it gets outside, so inside's great, but once it gets outside and the exits contest and stoppage, I think that's when they can be in a bit of trouble, the dogs.
And I'm still a little bit concerned about their tall defenders when they're isolated.
So I think they're good players, but too often the opposition get really good looks
against Hawthorne, against the Western Bulldogs.
So any quick ball movement, doesn't matter who you are, but at the moment, those Bulldogs defenders, they're just getting beaten too often in low number contests.
So that'll be a big concern, I think, for Luke Beveridge.
