It was crazy to us that that could even happen.

That's why something terrible has happened to them.
But I wouldn't do that.
And my kids wouldn't do that.
My family wouldn't do that.
I wouldn't make those kind of choices.
So that won't happen to me.
Right.
So you blame that person who's missing because it makes you feel safe.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
And I think it reduces the confusion and the chaos if you have one person from a family who's communicating with law enforcement or one person who's communicating with the media.
It just reduces the chaos.
So in our family, when Morgan was first missing, her dad was right there doing all the media stuff too.
He's a very quiet man.
And a reporter actually said to him, pushed past him one day at a press conference and said, we don't want to talk to you.
