everyone was like you have the size let's do it let's do it but it wasn't really my sport i grew up watching basketball loving basketball wanting to play that but didn't have the skill set for it so i was just like uh yeah i'll just finish pursuing acting and stuff and so when did you then decide to get into acting well i've always wanted to do that as well my um

From as long as I can remember, I've been singing and acting.

I used to do talent shows when I was younger.

I was in a theater play program at my church growing up, and then drama in school, and then another theatrical program when I graduated and moved back to New York.

So I've been acting throughout my life a lot in theater.

Well, my mom, for one, she was a writer.

And she was like my momager, my manager slash momager.

Right.

And she signed up to a website which sent us castings and emails.

And so she created a profile for me and would email me to a lot of different castings and everything.

And that was one of the ones.

She read it, woke me up like 3 in the morning and said, read this.

And I was like,

They were looking for a young African-American between the height of 6'3 to 6'5, 300 to 350 pounds.

And she asked me what I think.

I said, that sounds like me.

Yeah, at the time I was 374.

Not 375?

No.
