Presumably Colin is standing in Hyde Park wearing this black hat, confused out of his fucking mind about what is going on.

And the police took this lack of reaction from Colin to mean that he was completely unfazed by all of this stuff that Lizzie was telling him.

And that he did things like this all the time.

So that's why he's not running away.
