When he got out of prison, he was hoping to stay at her house, but that didn't work out because she wanted to rekindle the relationship and he had long since moved on with two different women.
49-year-old Regina Capobianco was one of them.
About 15 years earlier, she had signed up for a prison pen pal program where she met Tom.
They constantly wrote each other and promised they would meet up once he was out.
The problem, for Tom at least, was that he was looking for stability.
