The Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines convened on December 29th with six new members, two lawyers, three pediatricians, and a parent of a child who said they had some possible complications from vaccines.
The commission, among other things, is tasked with updating the list of vaccines and injuries or conditions that can receive compensation.
According to its charter, the commission consists of three lawyers, three health care professionals, and three members of the public.
It met virtually, but some members weren't able to make it due to scheduling conflicts.
The commission did not vote or make any decisions.

You're on Ozempic or one of those things.
Yeah, or you got work done.
Like, just stop.
Then it wasn't a secret anymore.
Now, these weight loss injections, called GLP-1s, are kind of everywhere.
Examples include Ozempic, which is kind of the Kleenex of GLP-1 drugs, but is actually officially for type 2 diabetes, and Wegovi.
These are drugs you inject under the skin once a week.
And these injectable drugs have become a valuable tool for millions of people trying to get to a healthier weight.
We're talking people who've never been able to lose weight and keep it off finally finding something that works for them.
And, you know, they're not for everyone or for every wallet.
Injectables do have a sticker price of over $1,000 a month.
And insurance coverage has been tricky to navigate for a lot of people.
