The fact that it was literally this,
that is so inherent to the genre that we love that is now having this cost was a great way to do it because it shocks the reader too.
She keeps trying.
It's quite frustrating if it ties back to Siona's flaws because she thinks that she's right and she thinks that she knows the right way.
So even though she's learned with Tomil that she's not always right, she still doesn't listen at the end.
So she doesn't change that much.
Like, yes, she changes in some major ways, but she is kind of herself to the end.
Yeah, she's not fully redeemed.

And even though she was doing something that was maybe ostensibly good, again, maybe it ties back because it's like her intentions kind of did they matter?
Did they not?
What was more important?
Um, and also like, I just think, um, you know, the, the whole way, like, I think we were talking earlier, um, before the after dark section about, you know, the way that we are kind of confronted with like social media and like the news and some people kind of try and look away, um, her whole way of kind of showing the world what was going on and what the cause of the blight was, was to come up with this spell, which created these like little mirrors everywhere that literally showed.
So like if they were, um, heating the stove, like a little mirror would pop up and show what
you know, plant was dying or what quen person was dying.
This is how I'm going to like make my legacy.
And it came back to that.
She's like, this is how I'll be remembered in the history books.
I don't want them.
