It also kind of reminds me of like the epistolary novel part of it, like how modern horror films will have like that documentary style of things being revealed a little bit at a time in real time.

So like paranormal activity, Chronicle, Blair Witch, like that all kind of has that feeling of Dracula that is like piece by piece.

We're discovering things with the protagonist, which is what I liked about it.

do like right in this format i think um one of the ones i love i love is persuasion that's written in letter form but it's a romance but you have that sense of like being really close to the emotions of the character i guess frankenstein is epistolary as well which is kind of similar with the horror revealing itself slowly i'm just i'm clearly revealing to everyone how classics are
