I did.
I was with a friend of mine from Adelaide Law School, Michael.
He was living in London.
I said, we've got to go tomorrow morning.
He said, I can't.
I've got a conference in Manchester.
I said, Michael, this is the most exciting moment of our lives.
So we went out.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Michael missed on the Berlin Wall falling because he had a conference in Manchester?
He was prepared to, but it didn't happen.
There was no way that was going to happen.
We went into a phone box and he rang his boss and made some lame excuse and we got the last two tickets on a plane into Berlin with all the world's media.
It was so exciting.
He didn't regret missing the conference.
When I got there, I went straight to the Berlin Wall.
And even though it was about, I don't know, eight or nine o'clock at night, people were still chipping away chunks off very merrily.
It was very, very merrily.
I've got a chunk from that time I chipped my own thing out.
What do you remember of the festive, joyous atmosphere at the time?
