One of the things that I was really astounded by were the education gaps, the information gaps that both of you had growing up in such close proximity to each other.
Ma'uz, growing up near the Gaza border, there were enormous gaps in what you knew about Palestinian history.
When did you start to understand what you had not been taught?

And we have to go back to 1948, which you write about in great detail in the book.
May 15th of that year is Israel's Independence Day.
And Aziz, I think it would be good for you maybe to talk briefly about what that date actually means for Palestinians.
