This reminds me of Paul's words to Timothy, guard yourself because God is guarding you.

Just like always, God is working in us and through us to accomplish what he has promised to us and for us.

My God shot today actually had to do with the birth of Christ.

How timely!

Jude says in verse 5 that Jesus is the one who rescued people out of Egypt.

Has Jude lost his mind?

Jesus wasn't born yet when that happened.

It was still hundreds of years away.

Except, Jesus is God the Son who has always existed.

And if you were with us in the Old Testament, you remember that he actually shows up multiple times on earth, doing miraculous things throughout the Old Testament before he was born in a manger.

This is called a Christophany, a pre-incarnate appearance of Christ on earth.

I love that he just couldn't wait to get here.

He's always been coming to earth, always been rescuing his people.

And then, and now, and always, he's where the joy is.
