Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were just on a podcast and they were talking about making movies today and how that differs from when they first got into the industry.
And
essentially building creating movies for Netflix versus theaters and They said a couple super interesting things that that stood out to me.
The first is You now need to write or they now need to write Understanding people are gonna be on their phones and get distracted and so they'll reiterate the plotline four or five times because if they just say it once then people are going to forget and
hate that the other thing is now they said you need to bring the action forward in the movie and so if you don't hook the person in the first five minutes you risk losing them to another show and like I didn't really think about it how before if you go to the theaters and you buy a ticket like they have you for two hours you're rarely if ever going to leave and so they can really build the plot line up and they can really like small action scene small action scene
leading to the grand one and is like, no, they need to get you in the first five minutes.
And the show that did an unbelievable job at that was the kidnapping show.
All her fault.
What got me was the first five minutes of that show.
Yeah, this one, I really wish I watched in more detail, but I'm glad that I got the gist of it.
I ordered something for the house.
It arrives today.
And I want to know what your participation is going to be.
I ordered a phone box.
What?
A box that your phone goes in.
Okay.
What do you think should be the hours of the phone box?
At 9 p.m.
