I mean, I kind of didn't do it.
When I did like JFL and SNL, all the abbreviation shows and showcases and auditions, I was doing like characters because I was kind of jumping into it with no experience.
And you can kind of improvise that.
And then I learned to write characters that way.
I started doing stand up when I was living in L.A.
I moved with other comedians, and we started hosting a mic together.
This is actually so crazy, because I think probably the people who came to the mic didn't realize that I was not a stand-up.
But they're like, we knew.
Like, no, we knew.
No, and I started, because it was weekly, I would write my little jokes for the week.
And so really LA was where I was doing stand-up.
And I think it's really fun, but I have that improv brain of like, I want to be with my friends.
Because, like, I know that.
You wouldn't.
You'd be amazing at it is the thing.
And you would be, like, good in the room with the, like, with.
crowd work, you'd be so good with the audience.
And what I think you would like, the sweet spot of stand-up, I think, and maybe stand-ups will disagree with me because I'm not really one, but I think what you would probably like best about it is when you're in the city you live in and you're getting up on shows and you're doing it with other comedians, that's how you're seeing your friends.
You'd be on a show with Caleb, be on a show with these other comedians, and that is so fun.
