The lead up to the case and how Boy A and Boy B pled.

So you have two 13-year-old boys up in court.

A lot of the prosecution's case was built on very strong evidence, particularly when it came to boy A. So maybe just talk to me about, I suppose, the key bits of evidence or the key pieces of evidence that made up the prosecution's case when it came to boy A and boy B.

And then boy B, I mean, would you say that was more circumstantial evidence that saw him convicted or what was the prosecution's case against him?

A lot of this evidence that was heard in court, I imagine for Anna's parents, must have been so traumatising and overwhelming and just very, very upsetting and disturbing.

Talk to me about how Anna's parents dealt with all that, because I even know that when the pathologist was on the stand, that was very tough, particularly on Anna's mother.

So given the evidence that the court heard, what do we know about what happened, Anna, in that derelict house in Lucan?

Eimear, you reported on this trial for the Irish Independent.

It lasted the seven weeks, but it takes its toll on people in the courtroom, on Anna's family, obviously, but as well on journalists reporting on it.

Was it an emotional challenge for you to report in that particular case?

The two judges in the courts had ordered that the boys would not be identified and warned to everyone that if they were ever to be named, that would be completely illegal.

But there was commentary online on social media which did identify the boys.

Just remind us of that.

And then both boys launched appeals to their convictions.

So maybe you could just explain the basis of those appeals and how they unfolded.

Okay, so boy A's appeal is still ongoing, boy B's is not?

Eimear, the scale of the public shock and anger in the aftermath of this was absolutely immense.
