The drug was first mentioned in a paper published in the journal Antiviral Research.

Now, Dr. Boulware and others spotted this right away, that it would take a huge dose, a dangerously huge dose in humans to have the same effect.
That was a pretty significant limitation, basically a disqualifier.
But it was lost in the heat of the moment.
And the media was all over this study.
One headline said, Ivermectin kills COVID in 48 hours.
Newsweek wrote, Okay, that was not what the study said.
