Here's where you're so right.
So I'm sitting there and it wasn't even here.
Maybe I did say it to you, but it was on the Rico.
The Mets lose again.
Another brutal loss.
And I sat there and said, look,
I'm not telling you things are going to change, but the beauty of baseball is that when you least expect it, the sport can change on a dime.
We think of the Nationals in 2019.
There's just years where it's never us.
But there are years in which you would never expect it.
And then it happens.
And that was 2024.
Now, they didn't win the World Series, obviously.
They got to the NLCS and lost.
But when you go back to that moment in late May when Jorge Lopez is throwing his glove, if I said to you,
We're going to go to the NLCS.
He thought you were crazy.
He would have slapped me across the face.
So I do think that you are waiting for that miraculous run.
And I do that with football, too.
