Because I was saying it on day one, and I hate to do I told you so because I'm wrong a lot.
But there were even too many Democrats, up to and including Chuck Schumer, that were kind of at the beginning of the war being like, let's see.
Maybe it'll turn out okay.
And they weren't for it.
It's not their fault.
I'm not blaming them.
But there was a little bit of a sense of, let's see how this goes.
There were a few exceptions.
I mentioned Rubin, Chris Murphy, Bernie, AOC.
There were exceptions.
But there was a little bit too much of that energy there.
And I think it's kind of hard to transition from the energy of let's see how this goes.
Maybe it'll turn out okay.
Maybe it'll be good to the energy of this is so fucking stupid.
I can't believe it.
