The Biden administration agreed to pause the sale of border wall materials for 30 days, enough time for Trump to take office. According to Paxton's office, this pause will be backed by a court order, so the Biden administration could face court sanctions if it breaks the agreement.

The court also gave Paxton's office approval to investigate whether any of the sales were in violation of an injunction from back in March. Paxton, along with the attorney general in Missouri, sued the Biden administration in 2021 over the administration's attempt to redirect funds set aside for border wall construction.
