Pretty combative. The Oversight Committee brought in four Democratic mayors to grill them on their sanctuary city policies. Those mayors would be Michelle Wu of Boston, Brandon Johnson of Chicago, Mike Johnston of Denver, and Eric Adams of New York. A side note on Wu, according to the Boston Herald, she spent $650,000 in taxpayer funds to prepare for yesterday's testimony. That money went to a New York City-based law firm to pay for document collection and so-called prep sessions ahead of the hearing. Wu then spent another $8,500 to bring additional staff to the hearing as well.
