I mean, the first season was pretty good.
You had this, there's this one scene in season one where basically it's meant to be a gritty, realistic take on superheroes.
In season one, you have the scene where Homelander, who's supposed to be Donald Trump, I guess, actually wants to save people.
The Seven, which is basically the Justice League, are dealing with a disaster of some sort, and they're like, okay, we gotta save these people.
And what was interesting about it is that they were treating it like real humans would in a situation where it's kind of tedious, right?
You are super-powered individuals, and some guy, like, fell down, you know, you gotta pick him up or something.
You know what I mean?
Like, something simple.
And so...
When you see these superhero shows, like kids' cartoons and comics and things like this, the hero will be like, quick, you there.
We must jump down and save them.
Assemble.
And you're like, yeah, that's not really how it would be.
It's more like Homelander goes, ugh, another guy fell down.
Can someone fly down and go grab him?
We have to deal with this.
So it was interesting in that...
These superheroes were celebrities.
They did endorsement deals.
They did movies.
