And there's some waiting periods and certain cover that you need in order to cover if you'd like to be a private patient for obstetrics.
And so that's the one.
So, you know, the cover changes with you there.
Now, as you get older still, you might unfortunately have chronic conditions or
or diabetes or something, or you might see at an age where you see your parents starting to fall into the system.
So there's different levels of cover you need depending on your circumstances.
Now, if you're starting a family really young, you might need really high levels of cover at a young age.
But otherwise, if you're doing it just for tax levels, you might be dipping your toe in the
what you need to avoid the tax.
I mean, I would recommend you still get a decent level of cover and not just do it for that reason.
But as I've had kids, things like dental, optical, braces, those types of things have all become really important to me.
So as I've gotten older and had a family, the extras covers kind of come back to become more important again.
So it really does depend on your circumstances.
I think anyone who's, I mean, of course I'm a health insurer, I would say this, right?
But anyone from 25 to 65, provided they can afford it, should at least make a conscious decision either to have it or not to have it, rather than let it slip between the cracks.
If you want to rely on the public system, that's okay.
But there's some benefits to having private health insurance cover.
But what I always say to people is, irrespective of what age you are, be informed and make a conscious decision.
And sometimes the decision's known, sometimes it's yes.
