It's Tuesday, the 27th of January.
We have special elections, two of them here in Minnesota.
I just voted in my...
for my statehouse candidate.
That seat was vacated by the newly elected mayor of St.
Paul, Mayor Herr.
And what I can tell you is Minnesotans, as you've seen and the world has seen, care deeply about civic engagement, care deeply about justice, care deeply about their neighbors.
And one of the things we're always very proud of, we're either first or second in the country for voter turnout.
And we have the safest, most secure, most well-attended elections in the country.
And we like to talk about that.
And what I can assure everyone in this country is we will break that record in November at this midterm.
If you think these special elections will get folks out in what you've witnessed, no matter if it's 30 below zero, we will be out there.
So coming this November, what you can be absolutely sure of, all these folks you see on the street now,
We'll all be in the ballot.
We'll be in there in the voting booth and casting those ballots.
So get out and vote, Minnesotans, in your special elections.
Just a few of us, just those two special seats, but it's good practice for what's coming because it is coming in November.
We have got children in Minnesota hiding in their houses, afraid to go outside.
Many of us grew up reading that story of Anne Frank.
Somebody's going to write that children's story about Minnesota.
