Yeah, exactly.
And then she says in this too, that like this one particular sex scene went off the rails when he started like not following her directions, like mishandling her.
She said afterwards, I wasn't sure if I felt violated and I wouldn't know if I had, as there was so little in my own sexual life that I hadn't allowed to happen.
But I felt that something intimate, confusing and primal had played out in a scenario that I was meant to control.
There's a lot that's upsetting about this.
But one thing I think is particularly upsetting that Lena Dunham has made these allegations in her new memoir.
where she has alleged that Adam Driver has thrown a chair at her, been aggressive towards her, spat in her face, hissed at her, stopped following her directions in a sexual scene, thrown her around, made her uncomfortable, all these allegations, and yet...
These allegations will not touch this man because now he's a movie star and people see him as a creative force and that he's just he's just, you know, cleverer and more emotional than we are.
And people hate Lena Dunham because when she was in her 20s, she filmed scenes naked.
I know she said some like not great things, but that's.
There's men who've literally sexually assaulted people and they don't get the hate that Lena Dunham gets.
It's crazy.
And watching this happen and reading those allegations and just knowing that for Adam Driver, he's not going to touch them.
He's not going to have to address them.
He can just go through the world because he's this man in Hollywood who everyone sees as a creative force is just so upsetting to me.
And I just don't know if anyone's really grasping.
I know the PowerPoint's fun, but not if anyone's really grasping what we're reading today.
Yeah.
think it's because there's kind of like um inequality between them because it's so wild to think that an actor could do that too I mean no one should be assaulted on set or anything like that obviously but also that an actor would do that to the creator and showrunner and writer um
because there's such a power imbalance there, but because he's a man, he could still do that to her and he could be seen as his heartthrob and he could be seen as a star.
