I don't think this is the only way to build software at this scale, but it's certainly the only one I have discovered that allows us to build a software like Shopify at this scale.

Because, automatically, what you're trying to accomplish is

You want people to use it.

And I believe that every user of every piece of software of every product in the world can intuitively tell you if a team that creates it gave a shit about the product.

I think this is just known to us.

It's like, it's invisible and we don't have good language.

i think everyone can tell and so well if you want to build a product that where people would answer this question in the affirmative you have to give a lot of there's a lot of has to begin about the tiniest of details about minute architecture um i mean the chunkiness of the buttons of the design systems and stuff like this but like no one like it would be so

I mean, I guess this is why the Silicon Valley show and HBO was so funny.

When people who are in the tech industry kind of get exposed to the shit that we discuss and have discussions and meetings about, right?

Like, it's like ridiculous.

But like, unfortunately, this is what it takes.

So, yeah.

So we go through everything and we talk to customers and...

Because... I mean, I don't want to criticize you.

Yeah, it's, it's, um, well, I mean, I, I was a customer support initially, right?

Like it's also, I did it because I had to, and then I could hire people, um, for, for, for doing it.

At some point along the line, I started making choices that weren't right because my inner model of what an entrepreneur goes through when using my software was just starting to be dated.
