Lando's and McLaren's success means that Max Verstappen missed out on equaling Michael Schumacher's record of winning five world championships in a row.

But he didn't give his title away easily.

After trailing then-championship leader Oscar Piastri by 104 points after Zandvoort, Max fought back into contention to take the title race down to the wire in Abu Dhabi.

He won that race, but missed out on the title by just two points.
