2025 was also a rookie season for Laura Muller, who stepped up as a race engineer for the first time, working with Esteban Ocon at Haas.

An F1 driver's relationship with their race engineer is their most important in the sport.

The engineer is their eyes and ears for everything they can't hear or see in the cockpit, and they work incredibly closely off track as well.

So when Laura was asked to team up with Esteban in his first season at Haas, they were keen to get up to speed quickly.

Esteban, how did you feel when IOS said you were going to be working with Laura from the point of view of she was new to race engineering?

I think it's always... So because our performance engineer was also new.

So it was just like full new.

But I always think if somebody is new, the less experienced they are, the more you can mold them to what you need.

what we were doing, we kind of molded very well together and just do things the way we need them to be done.
