Daniel Tocci was charged in connection with the Capitol riot, the attack that injured 140 police officers and

and interrupted the certification of the 2020 election.

President Trump dismissed Tochi's case on his first day in office as part of his mass pardons for the rioters.

Less than a year later, Tochi pleaded guilty to possession of videos and pictures of the sexual abuse of children as young as three years old.

Now, a federal judge in Massachusetts has sentenced him to four years in prison.

He's among dozens of former January 6th defendants who have since been accused or convicted of additional crimes, including home invasion, threatening police, and molestation.

This gambit that was done last night is a joke.

On his first day in office, President Trump issued mass pardons to the people charged or convicted for their role in the attack on the U.S.

Capitol on January 6, 2021, including those who violently assaulted police.

Polls indicate that a majority of Americans oppose the pardons, and dozens of former defendants have since been charged with new crimes.

Andrew Paul Johnson repeatedly abused two children when they were 11 and 12 years old.

And some of that abuse occurred after President Trump pardoned Johnson for his January 6th case and released him from prison.

Trump argued the Capitol riot defendants were treated unfairly.

Congressman Jamie Raskin, a Maryland Democrat, said Trump bears some responsibility for Johnson's crimes.

Now he's going back to prison, this time for life.

The White House did not respond to NPR's request for comment on Johnson.
