There's no sanctuary for criminals, public safety threats and national security threats in this country. And that's why we got rid of that sense of location policy. No one's going to raid a school. No one's going to raid a hospital. But we will make arrests when we need to on a significant case.
No, they don't owe me an apology. They owe the men and women of ICE an apology. It's like I hear last night, I forget who it was, talking about the Holocaust and connecting us with the Holocaust. For God's sakes, what a sickening thing to say. Men and women of ice aren't making this up. They're enforcing the laws enacted by Congress. And I can't, I find it hard to believe that Congress is,

enacting laws and passing laws they don't want to enforce. Not only are they enacting the laws that tell ICE what to do, they're budgeting. They give us the money to do that. So they owe the men and women of ICE an apology. Because men and women of ICE put their lives on the line every day across this country.

They put a gun on their head, they wear a Kevlar vest, they're out there taking on the bad guys. And it's already a dangerous job. With sanctuary cities, it's even more dangerous, because now, rather than arresting The bad guy in a jail where we know he doesn't have weapons, we know it's a safe transfer. Now we've got to go to the streets and find him because of sanctuary cities.

So all the risks that these ICE agents take and all the other agencies that are involved, DEA, FBI, ATF, the rest of them, they deserve the apology because if they did anything in Chicago, I was there. We didn't scare children. We saved children.

At the last count, when I left that command center, we had like seven sexual predators, mostly child sexual predators, that we took off the streets of Chicago. So ICE protected children. We're not out there to demonize them or scare the hell out of them. We protected children. And Governor Pritzker,

You put the children at risk because not only did you lie about going to elementary school, you released sexual predators of children back on the streets to reoffend. ISIS-saving children, Governor Pritzker has put them at great risk.

We've got 3,000 sheriffs across this country that we can easily delegate authority, give them 287G authority, both the jail model and the task force model. That is a huge force multiplier, right?
