He's had some off-field personal battles to deal with.
Let's hope this is another step in the right direction.
It's a positive step and he can get back to playing football soon.
Everything's okay.
Two stars for their respective clubs at their best, Will Day and Cody Waitman.
So, as we said on Crunch Time on the weekend, Will Day has a strong chance to face St Kilda on Thursday night.
Played 60 minutes on Friday night in the VFL, about 50% game time.
I would be surprised, based on what I know this morning, if he doesn't play against the Saints this weekend or this Thursday.
Cody Waitman's another one.
So he trained really well Thursday.
Hasn't played any footy since late 2024, Cody Waitman.
They're desperate to get him back in.
So he trained really well on Thursday.
He also trained fully on Saturday.
The Saturday session was a grueling one.
So it's just about how he recovers from that and whether he can have similar intensity sessions this week.
It is a strong chance that he comes back in the AFL team before playing any VFL, which some people might scoff at, but they believe he's the sort of player that can do that.
I still think it's probably more likely it's against Hawthorne in a fortnight than it is against Collingwood this weekend, but that's what's being assessed this week.
But either way, two massive ins, Will Day and Cody Waitman, when they're back in the next couple of weeks for their respective clubs.
It'd be great to see both of them back in the seniors as quickly as possible.
