And we've interviewed over 60 players, some of the leading lights,
um of the chief story but also some of the people behind the scenes some of the lesser-known players who've still got some fantastic stories to tell and and there it is it's a limited edition so there's not many copies available most of them have gone to ex-players or members of the rugby club um so you you can actually get a copy of it if you go to the uh rfc.co.nz but there aren't many left so i thought i'd bring one along for you to uh to give away to a chief's fan
The Crusaders do seem to have had the wood over the Chiefs when it really counted in recent years.
But no, it's a terrific rivalry.
It was and those are the games that you really love doing because it was such an epic contest and we had that, I don't know whether you saw the flow chart, the way the game was ebbing and flowing and no one was able to take a full grasp on that game for an extended period of time.
Every time someone scored, the other team would come back and it went on right to the finish and the game was right in the balance.
till the end and it did look for a moment like the Chiefs could steal it with a Christchurch born and bred fellow, young Isaac Hutchinson, who's a player to really keep an eye on, sprinting away and who should come across and make the tackle and really save the game, enable them to get the ball back and kick it over the touchline.
But David Haveli, who as you say, he just had a fantastic game.
Just one of those great leaders performances that you look for in these tight contests.
What I like about the way Will Jordan's game has come on in the last few years, he's just getting so many more touches on the ball.
And early on, obviously, in his career, he was this tremendous attacking force and you get the ball in his hands and let him go.
But his passing game and his vision has improved
So much.
You touched on it, the defence of David Haveli.
It wasn't just that tackle at the end.
He made one tackle.
And I think, if I remember rightly, sometimes these games become a bit of a blur afterwards.
But I think it was Wallace Sotito, who was one of the hardest players to stop,
in rugby in New Zealand at the moment.
And he showed incredible strength to hold him up.
