This guy found a gen three frame and an RTF slide.
And he put the RTF slide on the gen three.
He had it for awhile.
He sold it like that.
So it didn't have the RTF grip texture on it.
It was a gen three.
So it was a mix matched, right?
Because that gun was out and in the public long before most of my coworkers were old enough to purchase firearms, no one had a clue what they were looking at.
Funny.
They set it on the counter, cleared it for the guy to sell it.
And I was about two cases away.
I said, holy shit, is that an RTF?
He goes, well, you have a really good eye.
How'd you know that?
It's like, what's that old thing, Grandpa?
Well, that's a record player, my son.
So that's how I felt.
I felt like the old lady giving a history lesson to the youngers behind the counter.
But it was really neat to see two come in within a week of each other.
One on the old RTF and one on the new RTF2 series.
