We sat there.
And then they evacuated almost everybody from the Cape.
And we're in Pasadena in our control center, like, sweating bullets about our baby spacecraft.
But then the hurricane goes by.
NASA sends out teams of people to go check out the facility, make sure everything's okay.
Luckily, we get the all clear.
Holy cow.
A couple days later, we roll off the spacecraft when we take off on October 14th.
My birthday, by the way.
Yay, happy birthday, Tracy.
Got a baby spacecraft.
And so...
And so we are intensely relieved just that we were able to launch the thing.
We're so happy that the launch vehicle has performed well.
Everybody is, like, deep in their procedures, checking all of the things we're supposed to see from the telemetry.
And also, you know, as mission manager, in the back of my mind, we're thinking, are we on track?
Everyone's been in this control area for hours.
When are we supposed to, like, feed people?
Yeah.
so that they can keep their brains working once we get to the point where the spacecraft has done all of its autonomous things and now it's time for us to really take over.
