I might start looking at the website to see if I could do it digitally.

When you don't get answered on, maybe you don't call back again.

So a terrible, terrible metaphor.

Because, again, they also have the infinite 360 degree view all around them.

Maybe they're going blast over that way, blast over that way, blast.

It's like, who's to say that they would know that we're any one direction?

We're sending signals out into space.

Maybe it is caught, but we didn't know it was caught because it's hundreds of years down the line.

You stumbled into the quintessential issue with this entire thing is how do you know when you send out the phone call that it was ever received, if ever?

And how do they, in some sort of timely manner, come back to you in a way that they know you picked it up?

It is really a crapshoot.

The universe is so incredibly big that...

It might almost be that if we ever do catch an intelligent signal, it could be that we analyze it like this, or it could be that we go, that was from intelligence.

There's no way to contact them.

There's no way to know if they exist.

There's no way to know when and where they truly are.

It looks like it came from that star, but if you look far enough away, there's a million other stars behind it.

It's like, how are you supposed to know?

Humans are pattern searchers.
