Anyway, their risk pays off enormously because after firing upon this flagship, the pirates land a devastating blow.
In this opening folly of cannon fire, they managed to take down the main mast.
I don't know if they've got, you know, Bullseye from Daredevil on board or if they just got really lucky.
But one of the cannonballs collides with one of the main masts, which take down the main sails, which immediately disrupts any ability to run away.
So their speed is cut it probably in half, if not more so.
And then they have all this damage of the thing.
