And this is where the story gets really, really sinister.

You know, pirates.

All right.

I think that carries a lot of the weight here.

But despite these people being backed into a corner, they didn't just make off with the goods and that was it.

Instead, they started torturing and killing people.

There were women on board, need I say more?

In fact, Indian historian Kaafi Khan wrote about the attack.

Here's what they said, quote, "'After having remained engaged for a week in searching for plunder, stripping the men of their clothes and dishonoring the old and young women, they left the ship and its passengers to their fate.'

Some of the women getting an opportunity threw themselves into the sea to save their honor, while others committed suicide using knives and daggers."

Jesus.

End quote.

So it was truly sinister.

And then they left them with it.

They could honestly wipe them out.

If nothing else, as a bad guy, you're clearing your path and you're getting rid of witnesses.

But you're like devastating everybody here, taking all the wealth and then letting them just sit in that and live with it, so to speak, or or worse.

You know what?

With this head cold going on, I can kind of do a pirate voice.

That's what I'm saying.
