Jeff Rhodes told his family that he feared for his life, confessing that he knew too much about these murders.

The murders, I should reiterate, about Ives and Henry, yes, but also the murder of McCaskill.

He's saying to his family, I know too much.

I am in danger.

And then in April of 1989, his body was found at the dump in Little Rock, Arkansas, after he had been shot twice in the head and then set on fire.

And finally, because we're not done yet, there was a man named Daniel Bearden, aka Booney.

He was also called to testify, but he never made it because he simply disappeared.

We don't know what happened to him.

Now, all of these deaths were ruled as homicides in March of 1990 after being investigated, but there's no reported arrests.

No one was held accountable for any of these untimely deaths.

About three months after the formation of the task force, we're now kind of getting into it.

They're investigating Harmon and all of this.

It's now June 1990.

Harmon was elected as the special prosecutor of Saline and the surrounding counties.

Now, after Duffy learned of Harmon's drug use, she prepared indictments against him.

No one should be serving office if you're pretty obviously aware of their drug use, not being in the right state of mind, all of these things.

I think that's very standard, or it should be very standard for any serving official.

However, before these indictments could be issued, Harmon must have been made aware of these things, and he then goes off to make disparaging comments towards Duffy, basically discrediting her, and this then leads to her being fired in November of 1990.

Despite this, oh, I love this part.

Despite this, she continues to work with her team to investigate the link between the boys' murders and the drug operations happening in Mina.
