Now, it's unclear whether law enforcement ever spoke to Haynes, or if his claims were ever further investigated.
But it does fit the narrative here, and it is also a confession implicating himself.

I feel like 11 years is pretty short for somebody who is in a good position to mess with a lot of cases.
If you're racketeering, conspiring, extorting people, you got drug possession and you have the intent to distribute it.
And so you're part of this Mesa drug organization smuggling drugs in from Columbia or whatever's going on.
11 years.
Heck, dude, you were free nine years after this murder went down.
