So what happened in my case, interestingly...

I think I got to the point in the story where my mom had asked me to talk to the rabbi.

I'm sitting in my room with books, and I pick up a book.

It was a book about Gurdjieff.

My eyes go on one sentence, and my brain interpreted that sentence as a message that I needed to go to the group.

Because Gurdjieff was dead and following a living spiritual master was the way to go.
