First off, shout out to Kristen for introducing me to the pod way back when we're true day one armcherries.

Monica and Dax, thank you for keeping me company on my long commutes this past year while my husband Trev was deployed.

Normally I'd call him on the drive home, but during that time I knew I could count on you both to ride along with me.

And a special thank you to Dax in my work as a children's counselor for kids impacted by domestic and sexual violence.

I facilitate narrative therapy where kids create their own stories of survival.

Part of that process is showing them examples of people who have been through hard things and chosen to share their story with courage.

Your honesty about your experiences have given me something real and relatable to share in those moments and even getting to share snippets of armchair in session.

It shows kids that survivorship isn't something to be ashamed of, but something that could be powerful and inspiring.

I can't thank you enough for giving them and me that reminder.
