I went through college.

I've played against some of these guys.

I think if I do the right things in a year, I can be there.

Would that be accurate?

If I had to say, I would have guessed probably two years or a year and a half, maybe like middle of the season next year.

But this year, I was fully expecting to make it to AA and then potentially AAA, but I never guessed that I'd be here right now.

And was it, just to come back to what we talked about, was it because of that you just were able to embrace the evolution of you?

You know, like different pitches and everything, and it just sort of clicked?

Yeah, I mean, I found success at every level by making micro-adjustments to my game at every stop, so...

they really excelled me through all the affiliates.

I love that micro-adjustments.

You don't have to have big adjustments, right?

When did you learn that?

Because sometimes you think, oh, I've got to be a major leaguer, I've got to throw 110 miles an hour, and I've got to have an enormous 3,500 spin rate, 12-6 curve.

I got drafted for a reason, and I know that...

My stuff will play as long as I believe in it, and it's just that, like I said, the little adjustments to better my game in the slightest way, like I said, getting the splitter, being able to land an 0-0 to start an at-bat, just little things like that you work on every single day.

Once you get better at one, then you move on to the next one.

I love that, what you said, my stuff will play.

That was the most important thing.

Because you can get the scouting reports, you can learn all the lessons, but if you have to know, like, hey, I'm the one you're going to have to beat.
