Under the plan, homeowners whose primary residence has a taxable value of $150,000 or less would pay property taxes only for schools beginning next year.
That exemption would rise to $250,000 in 2028, an increase with inflation after that.

DeSantis says Florida's population growth requires redistricting, but also indicated it would create four new Republican-leaning districts.
Democratic Florida State Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith said the motivation for the redraw is partisanship.
The map's passage came just hours after the U.S.
Supreme Court weakened the Voting Rights Act in a Louisiana redistricting case.
DeSantis predicted that would help Florida's redistricting hold up in court.

An OpenAI spokesperson called the FSU shooting a tragedy, but says the company is not responsible.
The company maintains ChatGPT gave factual responses to questions with information that could be found broadly across public sources on the internet.
