And so they had been trying to set us up and we had met once before.
And then she works for the State Department.
So she was going down to Argentina for a couple of weeks.
And she was like, hey, you know, like, you should come.
And I was totally mobile and, you know, was still trying to do fundraising, still trying to do everything, but it could all be done from a laptop.
I had a pile of freaking flyer miles.
So I said, fine, I'll go there.
It'll be cheap.
We'll go hang out.
It sounds good.
So I had this time box period of time where I say, okay, I don't have a lot of time, but I think this is a good business idea.
I'm going to try to build the leanest, most revenue-focused version of this that I possibly can.
built the just most terrible, like barely does what it says on the tin kind of version of it and immediately sent it out to everyone I'd ever worked with in the e-commerce world.
I said, hey, here's this product, you know, you drop it in, you drop a little snippet in, it makes a store locator, you send me a spreadsheet, I upload it for you, you know, that sort of thing.
It costs five bucks a month, you know, here's where you pay.
And lo and behold, we had like five people sign up for it in a week.
And so I'm like, okay, this is something here and started kind of pulling that thread.

Somewhere along the way, I actually built it up to where I was doing about $1,000 a month in revenue, but it still wasn't enough to keep things going with SolarList.
I eventually just had to wrap it up.
