Remember, after her first trial, Reed's defense team said several jurors contacted them to say the jury had agreed unanimously to acquit Reed on charges of murder and leaving the scene of the crash, but had deadlocked on the manslaughter charge. In the petition to the Supreme Court, Reid's defense team argued that manslaughter charge should be the only one she should face this time around.
