I look at local news in two ways.
And I think the mistake, the reason national news never has the trust that local news has, I believe, is simply national news is news you should know.
It's civics class.
Okay.
And I say that not as a way to knock it.
It's what it should be at its best it is.
Because, you know, but local news sometimes is civics and sometimes it's just very personal.
It's service journalism, meaning it ain't the greatest.
It ain't the sexiest story.
Oh, you know.
But if you're helping your readers save money, save time.
Live their lives.
You're just helping them live their life a little better.
