All right.

It's by it's Wednesday.

And I'm just going to go back to basics here.

But the premise of the top five list this week is the premise that I think now it is official.

I think in the moment we're in at the moment and this, you know, it's very interesting when it comes.

I've always had this debate with my friend Charlie Cook and the folk and Amy Walter, the folks over the Cook Report.

Folks at Crystal Ball, folks inside elections, which is when you do your rankings, do you do it trying to figure out it's based on where you think the political environment is going to be in November or where you are at the moment?

Right.

And I would say, you know, we all will say, well, it's a hybrid.

Right.

And that's where I am.

It's a hybrid.

I think this is a political environment that is deteriorating quickly for Republicans, right?

You now have the House and the Senate openly feuding over how to resolve the DHS funding crisis.

In fact, the fact that House Republicans and Senate Republicans are in a completely different place on this has bailed out Democrats, right?

I think now Republicans own this more at the moment

Because the Senate Republicans passed something to do this.

And then the House Republicans, I guess, with a little bit of Donald Trump's encouragement, decided to tank it.

And so now we're in this uncomfortable situation where, yes, TSA employees are kind of getting paid.
