Hello, my name is Vanessa Scammell and in the second episode of Unfiltered, Michael Caine and Craig McLachlan continue to discuss all things not guilty.

They delve into the backstage culture of the Rocky Horror Show, evidence that was presented in court and the very real human experience of fronting up to a criminal court case.

And again, the big question arises.

Should people who choose to go to the press before the police be protected with anonymity in the court systems?

Should their names be protected if their allegations have been plastered over newspapers and television sets for everyone to see?

When the Rocky Horror Show cast members went to the press in 2017-18, part of their stance was that they only came forward to protect the young women in the new production.

In court, an affidavit was presented by Craig's barrister

an affidavit written by a female actor who had been successful in being cast in the new production.

This actor swore on oath that two months after she had been cast, she had had a conversation with C2.

And again, I remind you that C2, even though she re-auditioned, had not been successful.

C2 told this actor that she would have the best time.

But in cross-examination, when C2 was asked about this conversation, she told the court that she didn't recall it, but then said she didn't warn her off, even though Craig was in the cast.

Yet the magistrate's ruling, number 93, did not include this evidence.

Join us next time for Unfiltered Episode 3, where Michael Caine and Craig McLachlan continue to discuss all things not guilty in relation to the first criminal charge he faced in the Melbourne Magistrates Court.

Discussion of the legal system and the language of court surfaces, along with the extraordinary charge of an alleged ankle tickle.

My name is Vanessa Scammell, and thank you for listening to Me Too.

Hello, my name is Vanessa Scammell and welcome back to part two of Not Guilty, the Craig McLachlan case.

On January the 8th, 2018, an article by Fairfax Media and the ABC was published featuring three of Craig McLachlan's castmates from the Rocky Horror Show of 2014, claiming they had been victims of indecent assault, harassment and bullying during their time on the show.

Fast forward to September 2025 and Craig McLachlan was finally set to tread the boards again.
