With glasses, not as much, I guess.
Chips and dips have been a part of my life for every Super Bowl.
I definitely have chips and dips, number one, because usually my wife will be cooking, and the cooking takes a little bit longer. So you're kind of hungry while the cooking is happening, so you need something to snack on. And that's where the chips and dips come into play. And then I would probably ask Very nicely, I would ask my wife if she could make it.
I would ask her very nicely to make some of her favorite dishes for Super Bowl. Okay. Yeah.
I like the little scooping chips that they made.
Yeah, I don't like it.
Well, okay, here's the thing. I grew up watching that U, that team, that era. That was my favorite college football team to watch. Okay. And those boys were dogs. There's no other way to describe them other than all those guys were dogs. First-round draft picks at every position. Some of their backups were first-round draft picks. You're talking about guys like Ray Lewis, Ed Reed.
A slew of running backs that they had there, Willis McGahee.
For a while, yes.
For me, I always give – I got to give respect and my flowers to the team that did it before us, which was the U. And the only team that we've ever been compared to is the U. That's the only people that – People have been able to compare it to U2 as a USC era than when we played there. Right.
And so I feel like, you know, that game, you know, if there was even ever an opportunity for that game to happen, that would be a dogfight. It would. Because, you know, obviously they had great players. We had great players. They had Ed Reed. Yeah. But we had Reggie Bush. I know. You know what I'm saying? And I was returning punts.
Returning kicks.
Catching passes. Yeah. Running the football. Like, you couldn't. You honestly couldn't stop me because I was being used in too many different ways. Right. And that's the way that I wanted it. I wanted it to be that, okay, well, if you had a great day playing defense and stopping me in a run game, I can still hurt you in punt return. Right. And kick return. Yeah. Right. And catching the football.
Mm-hmm.
It was amazing. So I actually just partnered also with EA Sports for the college football 25 game that just came out. And they re-released my character into the game. And I played the game. With our team, our USC team, and myself, I ran back three kickoff returns. Nice. Nice. Oh, against Vince Young.
Holy crap. It's all a great game. It was awesome. But, yeah, Vince is my dog. Shout out to Vince. We just played a college football game. We did it on YouTube. But, yeah, man, I was so excited about that game coming back.
You're not getting an old man. Listen, I don't love the way that that situation played out for my guy Antonio because I think he's a great coach. Sure.
Let's see where – and this has been one of my biggest, I think – with the NFL is I would love to see more younger former players being hired as head coaches.
Because these are the guys that the players remember. They're the ones that the players have respect for. Interesting. No disrespect to any of the older coaches. I love Pete. I played for Pete. Yeah. It was great. But also, you know, when you're trying to – When you need to be able to relate to the youth.
Connect with the youth. Connect with the players.
Exactly. And so that's the thing. That's what you want, right? And that's, for me as a player, always had a ton. I loved playing for coaches who played the game. I love that. That to me was because now I knew that the things that they were telling me, they actually did it. They lived it. You know what I'm saying?
P's great. He's going to do amazing. But I would love to see Antonio get another opportunity because he deserves it, man. He took over in a bad situation.
Yeah, you can't do anything with that, man. And, you know, so, again, we could hit on that all day, but I love seeing Antonio get another job.
